The Quebec Mineral Exploration Association (QMEA) is proud to unveil its preliminary program and to announce that registration for the Xplor convention is now open. Due to the ongoing pandemic situation, the QMEA has decided to go with a virtual format in order to offer a pleasant and safe experience for everyone. Keeping the convention’s fundamental objectives in mind is what has driven Xplor and the whole team to surpass themselves, allowing them to offer you three full days of conferences on October 25, 27 and 28, 2021. With all of the quality professional content available, you won’t want to miss a thing.
You benefit from registering early
This year, you benefit from registering in advance. We are pleased to offer a Xplor branded notebook to the first 250 people to register. Furthermore, everyone who registers before September 30, 2021, will have a chance to win an iPad, courtesy of MBI Global. Students benefit from a reduced rate as low as $25 a block. A $100 discount on the total price is also available to everyone who registers for all six blocks at the convention. Please note that you have until mid-October to register for the blocks.
If you are not available on the day of the event, there is no need to worry. Participants will be able to view conferences for one month after the convention. That means you will be able to watch the conferences you missed and rewatch those that interested you the most. Please note that to take advantage of this option, you must be registered before the event begins.
A program enhanced by the current context
Although we all would have liked to hold the event in person, we are more than pleased with this year’s program. Because of its virtual format, we have been able to schedule renowned speakers such as Mr. Alden Greenhouse, vice-president – Corporate Development and Business Strategy for Agnico Eagle Mines, who will be speaking about his conference on investing in small businesses and the role that larger companies must take. What’s more, Mr. Marc Ducharme, exploration manager at Bonterra Resources and geologist for more than 30 years, will give his conference entitled Developing Quebec’s Next Gold Camp in the Urban-Barry Belt. And let’s not forget Mr. Benoît Dubé, research scientist for the Geological Survey of Canada, and his talk on the gold deposits of the Abitibi greenstone belt. And remember, this is only the tip of the iceberg of this exciting 2021 edition!
